Just for Kids
Children and teens with diabetes need specialized medical care to stay healthy and to avoid complications later in life. We offer education programs and ongoing medical care designed especially for young people.
- Kids & Teens Clinic

- Living Well with Diabetes for Kids & Teens
These special summer sessions fill up fast!

- Kids weeks, for ages 7 to 12, provide children and parents with the information and skills needed to manage diabetes in an active youngster's life. Games, activities and peer teaching create a comfortable atmosphere for kids to share and learn, while parents attend sessions both with and separate from their children. More
- Teen weeks, for ages 13-18, address the psychological and social needs of teens with regard to their diabetes management. Discussion focuses on teen issues such as sports, social situations, erratic schedules and independence. More
- Minnesota Diabetes in Youth Program (MDYP)
This traveling clinic provides care and education to youth under age 21 in seven rural communities in Minnesota: St. Cloud, Mankato, Brainerd, Bemidji, Virginia, Willmar and Fergus Falls. It is a joint program with the Minnesota Department of Health. More
